Orcs are incredibly prideful creatures. They take their work very seriously and treat their craft with the utmost care. No one embodies this strong philosophy more than Garum, the village brewmaster. Known for his cruel and unusual punishments towards those who carelessly spill their drinks. So it was quite a shock when during his monthly trip to collect ale and other supplies for the inn, the rope securing the casks of ale in Bram's cart snapped and dumped a month's worth of Garum's hard work on the ground he decided to forgive the soap maker. Perhaps he understood it was simply a freak accident that was wholly unavoidable, or maybe it was Bram's endless apologies and groveling at the satyorc's hooves that won him over.
It all seemed like water under the bridge until a month later when Bram got a note from Garum, inviting him over a "Friendly tasting of the next month's ale"...
I really wanted to draw Garum again and someone told me to draw him emptying a vat of ale into another orc (Bram) and I ran with it. This came out shockingly good for me having only done the sketch for it yesterday and I think I nailed drawing the goat legs on Garum, and I also decided to give him goat ears because it just felt right to me. I think I'm gonna use this design for him going forward.
All in all, really proud of this piece and hope I can draw Garum again soon.
