Another game that I could mention is on the Xbox Live Arcade called Yaris. Not only is it fully an advertisement for a crappy car, but you don't even have to accelerate or steer to complete a lap. And for some reason the car has a tenticle that shoots bullets.

hands down worst game I've ever played as well. I didn't even make it through the first lap before I deleted that shit! Usually I'll give a game a chance, but sometimes you just know right away!

Exactly. If anything, this game makes people avoid buying the car.

Did anyone ever play ET on the Atari 2600?

I wish I had played it.

Famously known as the worst video game of all time, plus it pretty much destroyed the Atari along with it.

It set the standard for all movie-based games to come :1orglaugh

" Mr basic meets bits and bytes " on Intellivision.

TOP THAT !!!

Half-Life 2. I know it's one of the most popular games of all time, but the lack of cut-scenes, narration, compass/radar, objective lists, journal and a damage system out of Doom, bored me so much it crushed my faith in FPS's, also I never had a clue what the fuck was going on during the span of the whole game. Didn't like the ending either, or the new episodes.

I have to agree with dave_rhino. E.T. was one of the most awful games ever created. Running around trying to find pieces on the damn machine to call home, Government thugs chasing you, and the worse of all..those damn pits. You'd fall in, raise your head to fly and since you couldn't move left or right, fall right back in. It putthe suck in sucky. Also it's about the last time I bought a game based on a movie. Funny thing is, I still own that game and the 2600, too.
