What do you think of the One Punch Man Season 2 animation so far?

| Just let everyone to see these: Keep in mind that those scenes was from J.C's post-2017 to early-2019 anime.         I may sounds like a hater but that's because J.C wanted me to hate them for their bad production schedule. I mean....... the f**k was they thinking when they working on more than 10 anime series this year??? Of course the quality will be downgrade with the staffs being overworked themselves. Edit: Oh and I forgot to mention that J.C even brought some of OPM2 staffs to working on the other anime as well, due to they don't have enough times to finish an anime episode before the deadline, which is why they only finished 2 episodes of OPM2 as of now if the rumor is true. |

| I think it would have been best to let Bones take it instead of JC Staff. Even if it required delay, I feel like Bones could have pulled it off infinitely better (look at Mob Psycho). |

| too much misinformation again about anime studios the gathered talent (good animation staff) and enough time (good production schedule) are the main factors on how animation quality improves, and for the record most animators in the anime industry are free lancers and there is actual shortage of good animators right now (google "japan animator shortage crisis" for more info) so not all new anime shows will look amazing and also production schedule on JC staff is tight that they do not have enough time to animate things properly or in good quality  https://twitter.com/liborek3/status/1108075838409502720 |

| Alright, so today I watched season 1 finally, and started watching season 2 and I SEE NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL!!! Seriously what the hell is wrong with everyone who say the animation is bad? |

| It's not just the literal animation that is bad, their weird edits, effects and lack of impacts make the few decent bits into shity ones. |
| It's a severe drop from the awesome quality S1 has, but I've definitely seen worse. So at the moment, pretty meh quality with some flashy visual fx. However, what really grinds my gear is the fact that it's very clear that JC Staff is not giving S2 of OPM enough effort AND enough budget. Which is why we got this horrible in comparison season. Also, I'm pretty sure someone pointed it out that they're currently animating 10+ anime, even with dozens of animators working long hours day by day, there will be an impact in the quality. I was disappointed, to say the least. JC Staff would've done it better if only they put in more effort and budget. This is not what I waite for but on the bright side. We got S2 of OPM! |

| At the time of having watched episode 2: This show is so much below average animation wise that it's not even funny anymore. Actions scenes are literally 90% still images and even those look bad. I can't even comprehend how they fucked up the shading and coloring this badly. Why does Saitama have random orange spots on his skin that look like out of a low budget hentai? Considering the staff remained mostly the same in terms of Key Animator and Art Director it baffles me and strikes me as J.C.Staff just wanting to cash in on the name since it makes no sense whatsoever to animate a show that focuses so heavily on action if you lack in time, money and/or personnel. For me personally animation was the one thing that carried the first season to a decent score since everything else fell pretty flat but brushing this off as "It's not so bad" is just lowering your own standards which deserve to be higher considering how amazingly animated for example Mob Psycho last season was. Unless this gets magically better by a lot I can understand how this might be the biggest dissapointment for people who were hyped for a second season. |

| My jumbled thoughts are thus: 1. J.C. Staff take on massive workloads, so it is no wonder the animation quality suffered. 2. It is a miracle we even got a second season as well. OPM S1 didn't do too well in Japan. 3. The animation isn't awful, just extremely inconsistent. 4. Many consider this to be the worst story arc of OPM, so better animation will not necessarily "save this season". Per #2, I am happy we are even getting a second season. As long as it isn't Konosuba S2 levels of animation I am happy. As I said, OPM is relying on the international consumers to survive as an anime. If you want better quality and a third season, please support the official releases and purchase the S1 blurays if you haven't already. If you don't want to do that, please purchase a few volumes of the manga. |
| I honestly think people got ahead of themselves slamming this season's animation before it even came out. It's not as good as season 1 sure but it's completely watchable, I'm really hype for this season and it's looked great so far IMO. |

| It just makes me sad honestly. Especially after Mob Psycho 100 II. What a shame. It's at best mediocre on its own, but compared to season one, it's just depressing. It's not awful on its own, but it's awful compared to its pedigree. |

| It's definitely not as bad as some are saying but there is a notable difference. They use more panning shots and shaking to simulate dynamic animation. There are some moments where the characters are kind of off model, and a lot of the metal, especially on Genos, uses this weird CG shading that really looks off to me. Although it is unfortunate that we probably won't see any beautiful, adrenaline-pumping animation like the Boros fight, I don't really think it's fair to compare the animation though because season 1 was done by one of the best studios in the business (at least in my experience. It also depends on the individual staff so quality varies with any studio.), so I've been trying to just enjoy it for what it is. I have certainly seen much, much worse. |
